What is Peak Performance?
Take on a 20-day expedition to the top of Mount Everest in this fun, high energy team building activity. A number of factors play a part in the expedition and delegates must look out for client fitness levels, weather, best routes to take, acclimatisation, oxygen use, tent pitching and strategies to compete against other teams and win. Key information will be delivered to the delegates tablets each day of the expedition. It’s a race to make intelligent and swift decisions. Space is limited in height zones; procrastination will lead teams to being stuck in less ideal paths or being unable to move.
Teams must complete several active challenges including timed pop-up tent packs, a blindfold climbing harness challenge and sleeping bag stuffing. They must also decide what the guide will carry – tents, oxygen and/or clients? Clients will increase their team’s points as they move higher up the mountain peak but if they don’t have sufficient supplies they risk illnesses.

How can it help your team?

This tablet-based team building event has been designed based on extensive research into experiential learning, focusing on leadership and decision making.
This experience ties strong similarities between the skills required to successfully lead climbers up Mount Everest and combine business and project practises. More specifically, team management and business leadership skills are highlighted. Climbers face the same challenges as leaders in the heights of success in business. This event engages a popular theme and has tactile components. It is fun yet challenging, linking to everyday experiences.
