Orangeworks Showcase: A Day of Team Development & Experiential Learning
Our team in Ireland recently held an exciting showcase event at The Alex Hotel in Dublin City, where they welcomed new and current clients to experience a taste of what Orangeworks has to offer in experiential learning and team development activities, in particular our newest addition to our portfolio – Team Assessment Tool (TAT).
Team Assessment Tool is a self assessment tool for post-event reflection that can be added to any of our activities. It works by identifying the strengths, skills, and behaviours of participants during our activities, allowing teams to debrief and look at how they can improve the way that they work together.
It also allows HR and L&D departments, managers and training consultants to isolate potential gaps and create tailored action plans for future improvement.
They kicked off the day by welcoming guests with tea, coffee and pastries, generously provided by The Alex Hotel. Once everyone was settled, our Sales Director, Noel, delivered a brief presentation, offering insights into who Orangeworks is, what we do and introducing our guests to the Team Assessment Tool (TAT).
Our MC extraordinaire, Oddie, then took the stage to introduce iBuild, the featured activity of the day, which they used to demonstrate the practical application of TAT in assessing and improving team performance.
iBuild is a collaborative activity designed to test communication, strategy and teamwork. In this engaging session, attendees worked together in a shortened version of iBuild, where they needed to construct a pre-determined model using specific instructions given by team members in a one way communication line. This exercise was not only fun but also showcased the real-world importance of effective communication and coordination within teams. Read more about iBuild here.

Following iBuild, they moved onto Team Assessment Tool (TAT). Guests used a QR Code to open a webpage that hosts TAT. Here they were asked a range of questions based on their performance as individuals and as a team. Answers and feedback was shown anonymously on the projector for everyone to see and discuss as a group. Guests used TAT to reflect on their performance, gaining valuable insights into areas where they could improve.
Using the data collected during our activities, the Team Assessment Tool analyses various performance metrics to help teams identify strengths, areas for improvement, and ways to boost future performance. You can read more about Team Assessment Tool here. It is a fantastic way to see participants leave with actionable takeaways on enhancing collaboration within their teams.
The session finished with a quick demonstration of some of our other team activities, which included Peak Performance, Beat the Box, Animate, and Global Innovation Game, each offering unique ways to foster teamwork, creativity, and strategic thinking.
