Case Study: The Big Picture with TE Connectivity

In October 2025, the Orangeworks team flew to Vienna, Austria, to deliver The Big Picture for our client TE Connectivity. Hosted at the Marriott Hotel, the event brought together 80 middle management delegates for a memorable, creative experience – designed to reveal and celebrate TE Connectivity’s new company values.

Earlier in the year, we worked with TE Connectivity’s senior leadership team in London to deliver Beat the Box, which ended with the inspiring message “Climb Together.” Building on that momentum, this Big Picture event provided a vibrant, visual way to engage the wider team in the company’s evolving story and reinforce what those values mean in action.

The Big Picture is a collaborative art experience where teams paint individual canvases that, when joined together, form one unified masterpiece. It’s a creative metaphor for teamwork, communication, and shared purpose – showing how every contribution plays a vital part in the bigger whole.

15 teams painted 30 canvases over 1.5 hours, led by Oddie and Noel from the Orangeworks crew and supported by our fantastic Catalyst partners Lubo and his team. The final reveal – just before dinner – was a powerful moment, as the group saw their collective work form a striking image symbolising connection, alignment and trust.

Our light debrief explored how effective teams build on vulnerability-based trust, drawing from Patrick Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Delegates reflected on the importance of being humble, hungry and emotionally intelligent. They discussed how embracing the mindset of “Don’t let perfection be the enemy of the good” encourages collaboration and progress over perfection.

Feedback from TE Connectivity was overwhelmingly positive. Stephanie, their event lead, shared that the team “really hit the mark with every bit of the experience – from the design and planning to the facilitation on the day.” She praised the Orangeworks crew for their “energy, flexibility, and flawless delivery,” adding that it was “a great way to rally 80 people around one big, focused activity.”
