Master the Art of Timekeeping
Preparation is key! Know what you are going to say. Be specific. Be brief. Get your message across as clear and concise as you can. We all know how hard it is to get a hold of our manager or team lead for a quick chat, so make sure to make the most of it. Try to avoid going off on a tangent!
Ask all of the questions
Asking questions shows that you are engaging in the conversation and that you know what is going on. There’s nothing worse than walking away from a meeting and being more confused than when you walked in. Do some research on the conversation partner, the topics of discussion, or whatever the case may be.
Use the correct medium
A good communicator knows the correct medium to use when communicating a particular message. An article written on mediums of communication emphasizes that “the medium you use to communicate your message is just as important as the message itself”.
