What is Toy For Life?
Teams are first introduced to the social mission of building toys for children in need, creating an immediate sense of purpose and emotional connection. Using iPads, they complete a series of interactive challenges and puzzles to earn points, which can then be used to “purchase” the toy components they require.
Once all components are secured, participants move into the build phase, assembling their toys and optimising design within the time available. The activity concludes with each team showcasing their finished toy and leaving the experience future-focused, with a stronger sense of ownership, accountability and teamwork.
Toys are quality checked and distributed to charities worldwide by our partners at Lightbulb Teams.

How can it help your team?

Toy for Life helps teams develop essential collaboration skills while working toward a meaningful, real-world purpose. By completing challenges to earn toy components, participants strengthen problem-solving, creativity, and decision-making under resource constraints. The build phase reinforces clear communication, role allocation, and accountability, as teams must optimise design and function with the parts they’ve earned.
The shared achievement of creating toys for children in need not only drives engagement and motivation but also leaves teams with a stronger sense of unity, ownership, and purpose-skills and mindsets they can take back into the workplace.
